Lipoma in the Hand

Abstract
|
|
|
Lipoma in the human body is the most common benign tumor which arising from subcutaneous tissue. However, there are a few case reports of this tumor of the hand producing the symptoms of median nerve compression or the disturbance of hand functions.
The reporting case had the tumor for about one year and had complain of weakness of his hand and finger functions. The tumor was excised completely through the two skin incisions. Tumor was originated from volar aspect of the hand and extended through the third web space of the finger in pedunculated form.
Post-operative course was good and he gained full function of his hand.
